Master Class

Master Class is a two-year paid summer program to get Black male college students who may be considering a teaching career direct experience assisting with—and even leading—summer class instruction for public school students, helping to build both skills and confidence among these future educators.

Those selected as Master Class students will participate in intensive teacher training developed and delivered by our partners, Teach for America and Relay GSE, at the Makuu: The Black Cultural Center at the University of Pennsylvania.. They will be mentored by a Fellowship Leadership Council member and, during the program period, will have daily classroom observations and review meetings by this mentor.
